System requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64)
  • About 400 MB for browser engines, downloaded once on first run
First launch on Windows
  1. Double-click the EXE. It unpacks itself first, so the window takes a few seconds to appear.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen warns “Windows protected your PC”, the build is not code-signed: click More info, then Run anyway. Check the SHA-256 checksum first if you want to be sure the file is intact.
  3. Setup downloads Chromium (required) and optionally Firefox and WebKit. Microsoft Edge is detected automatically.

For faster starts and stable shortcuts, use Set up on this computer in Settings → App & updates. Windows install guide

System requirements

  • x86-64 with glibc 2.25 or newer (bundled WebKit: 2.38 or newer)
  • FUSE 2, or start it with --appimage-extract-and-run
First launch on Linux
  1. Make the file executable and run it:chmod +x Proxy-QA-Browser-*.AppImage ./Proxy-QA-Browser-*.AppImage
  2. If you see “error loading libfuse.so.2”, install FUSE 2 (Arch: fuse2; Ubuntu 24.04: libfuse2t64; older Debian or Ubuntu: libfuse2) or add --appimage-extract-and-run.

Nothing else is downloaded: the browsers ship inside the AppImage. Linux install guide

macOS

A disk image for Apple silicon or Intel. Drag the app into Applications; your profiles stay on your Mac.

Your browser does not reliably tell Apple silicon and Intel Macs apart, so both are here. Not sure? Apple menu → About This Mac: “Apple M…” means Apple silicon.

System requirements

  • macOS 12 Monterey or later
  • Apple silicon (M1 or later) or Intel
First launch on macOS: this build is not notarized

The Mac build is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS blocks it the first time. To open it once:

  1. Open Proxy-QA-Browser from Applications and close the warning.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to the message about Proxy-QA-Browser, click Open Anyway and confirm with your password.

macOS remembers this; later launches open normally. Browser engines download on first run. macOS install guide

Version 2.0.0, published 20/10/2026
What’s new in v2.0.0
  • Strict form execution: stop on script, console and network errors, verify field changes and native browser validation, disable selector healing, require a confirmation assertion and refuse automatic retries. Enable it per scenario; strict mode remains off for existing scenarios unless you enable it.
  • Try demo creates a bundled signup form and sample scenario so you can practice recording, replay and report exports without proxy keys or an external website.
  • Run comparisons highlight new failures, repeated failures and recoveries against an earlier completed run, including matching case counts and timing changes.
  • Simple device picker (beta), off by default in Settings → General: choose Windows, macOS, Android or iOS. Windows and macOS open the browser maximized at your own screen size; Android and iOS pick a random current phone. Linux, iPadOS, ChromeOS and tablet presets are hidden while it is on, not removed, and QA automation is unchanged.
  • Receive beta updates is an optional switch beside the update controls. It saves your preference and checks a separate signed beta feed; macOS opens the exact verified download for the selected channel.
  • QA execution now stops subsequent actions after a blocked document, frame or pop-up instead of continuing a failed run. Smoke tests correctly handle macOS browser cache paths and setup navigation.
  • Strict mode improves failure handling; it does not guarantee undetectability, third-party acceptance or an error-free submission. Configure and verify each form's approved automation access, required scripts and success confirmation.
