Version 1.5.2LATEST

  • Redesigned home page on the download website: a clearer first screen and a shorter tour of the app. The desktop app is unchanged from 1.5.0, so updating is optional.

Version 1.5.1

  • Fixes the download website showing a server error instead of a "Page not found" page for mistyped documentation and use-case links. The desktop app is unchanged from 1.5.0, so updating is optional.

Version 1.5.0

  • macOS downloads for Apple silicon and Intel (macOS 12 or later). The DMGs are unsigned: allow each new download once with System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. The Mac app checks for updates and opens the download page; replace the app in Applications to update, and your profiles are kept.
  • Consent, accessibility and performance checks for QA automation: test a consent disclosure's wording, visibility, font size, contrast and distance from the submit button; that the consent checkbox is not pre-checked; TrustedForm, Jornaya or custom lead scripts; axe-core accessibility rules; and performance budgets, optionally with network throttling (Chromium). Results and reports list every failed check.
  • QA automation handles more real-world forms: actions can run inside iframes, continue in pop-up windows and upload files stored with the scenario. Recording also captures actions in frames and pop-ups, and file choices (attach the file itself before saving).
  • QA runs now follow HTTP redirects that stay on the scenario's approved sites, such as a form that redirects to a thank-you page, instead of blocking them. Each redirect is shown in the evidence and reports; turn off Follow redirects within approved sites to block them as before.
  • Bright Data, Oxylabs, Decodo and IPRoyal residential proxies are now built in next to DataImpulse. They follow each provider's official documentation but have not been tested with a live account, so the app labels them community-verified.
  • When it starts, the app now checks for updates (at most once a day) and shows an Update badge next to the version in the sidebar; nothing is downloaded until you choose. Turn it off in Settings → General → Check for updates on startup.
  • After an online or USB update on Windows and Linux, a notice confirms the new version or explains why the update did not finish, with a Retry update button.
  • Site access tokens: file uploads to your listed sites now include the file's contents in Chromium and WebKit, which used to send an empty file. If a file cannot be included, for example one over 25 MB, the upload is blocked and the reason is written to the app log.
  • Fixed QA automation runs failing to start the bundled Chromium in the Linux app; the first-run browser download in the Windows app is about 100 MB smaller.
  • New MCP server (qa-mcp) lets AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Cursor run geo- and device-aware QA checks on sites you allowlist. It ships with the source code and the runner Docker image, not with the desktop app.

Version 1.4.0

  • Choose the proxy provider for each profile and launch; provider keys are stored per device in the encrypted vault, and existing keys move over automatically (a backup of the previous vault is kept).
  • Site access tokens: send a secret header only to your own listed sites so your WAF or CAPTCHA can allow QA traffic.
  • Self-healing selectors: recorded steps keep backup locators, healed steps are flagged in results, and one click updates the scenario.
  • Headless runner as a Docker image and a reusable GitHub Action for CI.
  • Fixed online updates failing with "The update is outside the managed download directory". Install this version once by downloading it from the website; later updates work from App & updates.
  • After an update, a copy opened straight from a downloaded file becomes the computer copy with Desktop and Start menu shortcuts, so the next launch opens the new version; opening an older file offers the newer version.
  • Linux: the app now reopens after an update or when opening the computer copy (the restarted AppImage previously failed with "Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup").
  • Now open source under the Apache License 2.0. Desktop and menu shortcuts are updated automatically; on Windows, unpin and re-pin a taskbar pin once if it opens a second taskbar button.

Version 1.3.0

  • Check, download, verify, and restart with online updates from App & updates.
  • Public Windows and Linux downloads with signed release metadata and SHA-256 checksums.
  • Keep local profiles and proxy credentials on each device.
  • Protected release uploads and atomic publishing with GitHub Actions deployment.
  • Consistent browser branding across desktop, shortcuts, and the download website.

Version 1.2.0

  • Set up a stable computer copy with Desktop and Start or Applications menu shortcuts.
  • Faster Windows launches from the computer copy after the first setup.
  • Verify signed USB updates and preserve your existing local profiles, settings and browser downloads.
  • Find version details, release notes and pinning guidance in App & updates.
  • Refreshed application icon across the launcher, desktop and taskbar.
